I feel that the problems in the nuclear family will have to be faced alone, whereas in the joint family, the whole family will be supported, which is more likely to be good.
Mr_Amor: Which life is better, joint or nuclear? Its drawbacks and advantages?
I vote for joint family
What you are calling "joint family" is properly the "extended family" here (includes all known relatives and used to be "family") in the US. Due to mobility (people move too far away) the extended family doesn't have much effect here. This has the effect of removing key supports of the nuclear family (father, mother, kids) making divorce more common. Maybe you have different definitions because I don't see a reason to choose between them.
