It is almost August. Wasn't it just April a couple weeks ago? The plants show it has been longer. From that first blush of color on trees, sprouting seeds to..someone bring me a machete or a helicopter spraying Roundup! So many plans for this summer. Events, trips to see things. And All events canceled. Places to see, closed. Fine..to do list on farm. Rain, rain, rain..and then heat. Always next summer. Problem is at 70, will there BE a next summer? And will it be "normal". Even if it is, I will be older, more tired and less oomph to do things. I hate the phrase, when I retire. I ask what do you plan on doing, retiring independently dead? Mom always told me, time goes faster with age. Yeah..right. Darned if she wasn't. Wake up and the whole day is ahead..oops, noon..huh...what do you mean it is 4...8 and gone. My husband was single and wild til 28. Then he settled down. Good thing he did cause he got MS at 39 and was an invalid by 42. Then time stood still when he couldn't do anything anymore. So chase the clock, chase the calendar and suddenly it's been a decade. Those good old days they show are the ones we LIVED in once!

Yeah, covid really put a wrinkle in my social life in 2020. Maybe its better this way since I didn’t date as much. That’s time I won’t get back though but I did save a lot of money while quarantining.
