I think I could date a female cop, if she paid if we went out to eat. Female cops must have the funniest stories to tell. Not now obviously, before Covid when people were allowed to have fun and joke.

The saddest thing happened today. We here in SA, have not had a case of the googlies (as one charming Nurse put it after she sneezed) Don’t worry, I don’t have the Googlies.), in a month, maybe more. I believed her. I do not know why, I just did. I rarely, if ever catch the flu. People around me do. One year everyone was too sick to come in to work for maybe a week; although that was one of the years when I contracted it. I was the last one of 5 or 6 including Mr and Lady Boss. I think Mr had 3 Mechanics on at that time. Anyway… I never got it bad enough to warrant closing the whole place down. So I caught up on paperwork and did PR with phone enquiries and drop ins.

I would like to say I had several funny stories to tell about the 20 months I worked for them but it was just work. Two years in the city working and I saved enough for the same amount of time up here just writing. That’s right, before I somehow got off track. The saddest thing. I went to an outer suburb of Adelaide and it seemed that everyone around me were consciously holding their eyes open like they were some sort of wild animal caught in the headlight glare of an oncoming Semi Tractor Trailer. They were dancing and bobbing and weaving and that was just to get past me because I walked the wrong way out of the Petrol Station Pay booth. I felt like saying something but the only thing that might have been anywhere near the mark was sorry.

And the truth of it is, I wasn’t sorry. I wasn’t laughing about it or anything, but fukcitt, (ck) we here in SA haven’t had one case of the Covid in, at minimum, a month. I know I don’t have it. I sit here for up to 3 weeks then I go do shopping or whatever. Then I sit here another 2 or 3 weeks. (And yes, for me sitting at home for as long as my food lasts and then going to get more is normal for me. Lockdown for you, The Norm 4 me.) I got crook for a while and even missed the panic buying. I saw it on TV. Probably would have been funnier to see it in real life.

You know what will happen within 13 minutes of me posting this online? Either no new cases of Covid will suddenly shockingly appear in SA or they will, somehow. Considering Victoria has fostered a deep seated (is hatred too harsh a word?) animosity towards our State and we here in SA understand why we make them so angry. We aren’t going to stop doing it and you wanna know why? It’s funny.
As of several days ago the SA Victorian Borders are in true LockDown; only essential services through. The best of that for me is I have no interest of going to Victoria in the immediate or near future. So why should I care?

We here on the opposite Sea Board and I would like to think WA is kind enough to Piggy Back SA and NT onto their Sea Board, was just hoping no one would work out the Virus hates crossing Australia’s fukcing deserts. And the only way to avoid them, from the Eastern Sea Board, is into Victoria and in or through SA. Viva Le LockDown Border.

13 Minutes? 1:52pm Aug 3, 2020 I read the story; two cases in SA, two Education Campasses, yesterday.

Last night on the TV News, one staff member at a nursing home waiting for their 12 day negative test or first positive after negative(s).

Me and my 13 minutes. Seems like I almost knew. I only wish I'd gotten it out earlier. Oh wait, I did, 3 days ago.
