When you've learned lots of info and he's a "sparky" then you run in the bathroom quick with the hair dryer when he's having a bath dunno

Tulefell: You started a relationship and eventually got convinced that your date is a keeper. You had feelings to each other, positive dynamics, chemistry, understanding and care. Being together was fun and joy. You were determined to go on to the rest of your life… And then you found yourself divorced.

When did you realise it was the time?
Well there's no one answer to that question that fits everyone. In my case it was cheating. I tried to find a way to live with that fact, but realised that cannot happen without her active participation. But we found ourselves in a situation of a one-way street where I was doing all I could to put the past behind and looking forward to a more harmonious present only to realise there was no such efforts from her side.

That was when I told her in the presence of a counsellor to sign the divorce papers.

He was an alcoholic. Most of the time I put up with his ways but the one day I knew I had to leave him is when he forced me down to the floor and put a shotgun in my face.

Separated from him and two years later (1971) we were divorced.

After the divorce we were very good platonic friends.

a family member, now divorced, was in a terrible 14 year marriage. I once asked her when she knew it was unsalvageable. “The morning after the wedding”, she replied.
