So, I recently broke my digital effects pedal so I had to do some compensation with the rest of my pedals and I think I come to a usable solution. I got my graphic eq pedal set up as a lead boost with the low mids slightly bumped to fatten out the sound. I am using a small processor for the primary clean/distortion sounds and a analog compressor in front of it. I wrote a few "effect" programs on my processor to make up for what I lost on my other rig and though the effects are not as good, it is usable so I'll get by until I get the unit fixed.

Very creative, Track. You don't give up at once, it seems :)

Do what it takes. Its a good job I got lots of separate pedals and stuff. I look forward to getting my old setup back again but what I got running now is fine, in fact, when I get the broken unit fixed, I may leave what I got set up in place and just add the digital effects to it.

Good on ya Track, there are 2 types of people in the world.. people who roll their sleeves up and get on with it, and people who pay other people to get on with it.. thumbs up

Nice! Plug a 59 Gibson into that into a old Marshal plexi and you're there.

I had a band on the go and it was all shaping up until the corona hit, the bassist/singer don't seem to have the interest in jamming now so I'm not really sure where things stand atm. I'll just keep playing and whatever happens, happens.

The only pedal I got that got any kind of claim to fame is a original boss analog delay, the DM-2. Apparently it goes for pretty good $ on ebay.I have it set up on a aux on my mixer board to add a little slap back to the vocals.

Thats all you can do, is keep playing, I'm sure things will work out for you. I've heard of bands playing in their own homes now, and mixing it online, thats crazy... laugh Your DM-2 looks nice, some musicians swear by the vintage drums and guitars, pedals and cymbals, I do, I've spent more on upgrades in the last two years, then the original set cost... innocent I still play, sometimes daily, more in the winter time when it's to cold to go outside, but, it's not as much fun without other musicians... laugh

The Wah pedal was used a lot...

The wah is the 2nd most influential effect, only distortion had more impact on the sound of music. The wah really stuck around, hey. Just as widely used today as ever.

I got what has to be one of the warmest sounding distortion pedals I ever heard, Ibanez Tube King, has a 12AX7 in it. Its fairly high gain but not metal in sound, great if you had a bright setup and you wanted a warmer sound on your drive. Sounds decent on bass too if you are into that type of sound.
