Rich enough not to die at 33 with rotten teeth in a puddle of my own piss. But its all relative. That not happening means you're fabulously rich historically speaking until we reach the position we are in today. Those who reach 70 get there with ridiculous ease until such time that those geriatrics murder their grandkids to dodge flu. None of posterity is comfortable with the wealth of generation never had it so good.

If more of the fat cats were the same age as Musk we wouldn't be fearing this virus. We need to be rich enough to have a voice but most fat cats are 78 and they got rich during an era where capitalism was cosy and generations were too big to fail. Musk is more like the old captain of industry his business will improve the world. He earned that money.

Long story short comfortable wealth sinks like a stone like the Spanish Empire when they discovered all that gold in South America. What arose thereafter was centuries of backwardness and decline cumulating in Franco. But in the modern world things happen faster. What once took centuries to occur now takes decades.
Orzzz: I have enough to buy any needed things and sensible wanted things. I grew up around millionaires. They were the ones working in their business at night after workers went home. Lived in nice homes, drove cars that were several years old and lead boring lives. If one is greedy, no amount is enough. The more you buy, the more you want. And then have so much, you don't own it, it owns you. Houses never used. Rooms never entered. Possessions never worn or seen, driven nor enjoyed. Vacations taken because it is the trending place to be. As long as you know you can afford it, no need to own it. If you can pay cash, owe no one, have a roof over your head and able to shingle it, enjoy foods you like and provide for those you love and are loved...then you have all you need.
what's the point in being a millionaire if you have to drive an old car and work all night? If they are wealthy they should have top range car and staff to work all night.
I've been rich, and I've been poor. I prefer rich.
But here's the thing - wether rich or poor, my personal 'happiness' or 'contentment' level stayed about the same throughout, irrespective of my circumstances.
Which means that, barring abject poverty, most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.
