Sounds delicious Seleni I don't make my own preserves but I did learn a lot when I was a child about canning in Mason jars. We were poor and were a family of 2 grandparents, a sister, mom and dad.
My father had a huge garden with every vegetable under the sun (almost) and in the summer when not in school I had to go out to the garden to pick the vegetables and clean them so that my mother could do the canning. She sterilized the jars in a pressure cooker and if the lids didn't pop when the jars were cool we put them in the cold basement to store for the winter. BTW....if the lids popped it meant the food was contaminated.
The canned food didn't taste good but we had no choice. We were extremely poor. When I was old enough to leave home I couldn't wait to get away from Mason jars I think I bought every frozen vegetable I could find Now I prefer fresh veggies.

Awwwwww! What a poignant story Secret!!! Thank you so much for sharing
@ buying every frozen food later when you left home!!!
What do you mean if the lids did pop when the jars were cold? how will I know if mine are ok?
I think if a woman can cook good and keep a really well organised kitchen...it puts a string on here bow and puts a smile on her face...when a man is enjoying her homemade meals

It looks like you didn't use Mason jars but I not sure.
A Mason jar lid comes in two pieces. The ring and an inner insert. When my mother took the jars out of the pressure cooker and set them aside to cool IF we heard a popping sound it meant the lid wasn't sealed tight. The center piece of the lid should stay flat on the jar. When it pops it's no longer flat.

Ohhhh! I get you!!!
here in Spain when using ordinary (sterilised) jars you turn them upside down in a huge pan of water and bring to boil... boil them for 10 min... usually it seals them … then let them cool down upside down …
We shall see!!!
Last time I didn't boil them to "seal them" … in that case they only keep up to 6 months … when they're sealed about 2 years …

It also puts a string on his bow and a smile on her face when a woman is enjoying a homemade meal by her beau … but first they can go pick the veg from the garden, and even sometimes cook together ... they can be versatile like that … and not keep scores

Must be a case of mistaken identity Waitresses don't usually have the ability to produce tadpoles … So not sure whose tadpoles were swimming in your soup but she can't get the blame
Just let us know where this place is some of us will want to avoid it and some make sure they don't miss it … judgning by some of the weird stuff I've read on this site …
