You are missing the point of why it's important to wear a mask. If healthy people want to stay healthy they need to wear a mask, practice social distancing and wash your hands when you go back into the house after being in a grocery store.......or any place.apologise or resign? Wearing a mask doesn't only keep healthy people healthy. It prevents them from inhaling droplets from somebody who coughed or sneezed who has Covid and then passing it on to someone else. Why is that so difficult for you to understand?
Imagine your family member or loved one getting Covid from someone who didn't wear a mask. Would you be so cavalier about wearing a mask or would you get angry?

Also, this is the Republic of Ireland, not the republic of China. YOU are the state, as am I, as is every single Irish citizen...and the vast majority of us, are happy to wear a mask so as to protect the most vulnerable and not inundate our hospitals with really ill people, because those hospitals are manned by robots you know....

Right now what we are doing is trying to protect our most vulnerable to do this we need to reduce social interaction. Unfortunately people that think like you are the reason why this will continue longer.
Yes we have all had to make changes in our life’s but it’s not like we are locked away.
You can still live your life just in a different way.
We are doing these things so we have a future and our loved ones will be here to share it.

I have a lung condition and I need my mask for my personal safety and sanity!!! My daughter is an I C U nurse here in Dublin and came out of her maternity leave to care for the sick and vulnerable patients, her choice to leave her 2 babies and her husband to protect and help her fellow country people!

It’s so hard Nules both my parents are elderly one is high risk, I’m a health care assistant and live with them and am terrified I’m going to pass something on to them . Every day I go to work masks up and do my best to keep spirts up but so hard majority of my clients have dementia and don’t like the mask so we laugh sing dance whatever we need to do to make this whole thing easier.I have a lung condition and I need my mask for my personal safety and sanity!!! The vast majority of Irish are happy to wear a mask. Not just for their own benefit but for everyone else's too. The OP has no interest in protecting anyone or anything other than what he wants to do.he's selfish, really selfish..
If you want to know where a country goes when the serioulsy selfish get the upper hand......take a look at the USA and what's happening on their streets...it's horrific how they're carrying on with each other...

The issue I would have is not misinformation. It's the lack of consistency, and inability to stick to any plan they announce.Also, this is the Republic of Ireland, not the republic of China. Mask wearing was proven to be effective in the early days of this virus, as it slows the spread. It doesn't prevent it, it slows it. The anti mask brigade choose to ignore scientific evidence of this.
In the big picture, it's not such a big deal to wear a mask going into the shop etc, or to keep your distance from others.
I for one love social distancing when I'm out, as I always had an issue with people not respecting my personal space.
It's all about personal responsibility now. I'll keep me safe, and I'll keep you safe. If everybody thinks like this, we will do ok.
People need to separate the facts from the fiction.
That's just my opinion.
People have different world views and I guess we should respect that.
i love the social distancing on the bus and luas....im not crammed n sittn beside sumone i dont want to...i have a seat for me and a seat for my shoppn bags( i like to shop)....Perfect!!!!

I would like to correct you as I am not gullible, I am actually just the ordinary type of person, I use my common sense and read about the facts and figures, weight it up to what I feel is necessary for me to save myself and others from this awful virus! Also what about the poor people who lost their lives to this virus, and their families not being able to grieve properly in these strange circumstances.
I hope and feel you have not been touch by it as you are coming across as you are invincible to the virus and I hate to tell you that you are or anyone else is not.
The economy will be what it will be, materials things can be replaced but not people.
If we adapt to the changes we need to, to protect each other then it can help both mental issues and social issues as well.
