Good afternoon, everybody. Just wondering how many of you are into the second-hand craze...today I really scored. I found a paper shredder for 10.00, and a covered cat litter-box ( looks brand new-the charcoal sheet in the top vent is still in cellophane). It was 5.00. Yes, you heard it, FIVE dollars. I tried the shredder, and it works super. They retail (this brand) for 70.00, and the litter-box on average, is 25.00. So, I got two great, needed items for 15.00 dollars instead of 95.00. I’m ecstatic...banana

Hi Ro. Well done on the bargain hunting.cheering

I prefer upcycling and love going to reclamation yards and buying something that needs some T.L.C and restoring it . This is an old cast Iron Bistro set that I found all rusted up for £20 and after a good clean with a wire brush and some metallic paint this was the result. I love it.

Well done you!!!
sounds like you did yourself proud!

Been a passion of mine forever!!
Upcycle, recycle, repurpose!! Or get it and use it!!! I hardly own anything new in my house!! (apart from personal stuff).
All solid wood recycle, repurposed refurbished just like GS and her super garden furniture!!! A few things like the marbled top dining table come from my Grandmother's originally.

Last art exhibition I had as part of a "Art Trail" which I've been organising for a few years, some people thought my home was a museum. They were admiring the vases and other décor apart from the artwork wow laugh

Who want expensive new fairly low quality stuff when you can have old made to last quality things for a few ponds/dollars/euros dunno

I like to have fun on the ebay auctions, there is a certain amount of skill involved.
