mbken: Thanks for the great memories guys. I recognized many names mentioned. I remembered a couple myself. SummerUK, tunnelwary (funniest man I have ever encountered), Dez, TennesseeJudy, the Kansan, mickeyscouser...I remember the people but not their usernames.
I wish I could remember more. So many great people were on CS and today's CS has many great people too.

SummerUK was really funny, lovely lady also. We met up a couple of times. She and trish123 (an old friend of mine who introduced me to cs in 2006) went over to stay at Morgans another member on here who lived in the Canary Islands. They made a thread about it....The CS Three, it was hilarious.

For a few years cs was like a big community, full of colourful characters. Many good friendships around the world were formed through the forums.....it really was quite different back then.

Totally agree Bodleing with your sentiments above. I talk to SummerUK and we have visited each other over the years. I visited TennesseeJudy's husband who passed away and he was the salt of the Earth. I remember when Morgan had SummerUK and Trish at her place in the Canaries. I think SummerUK was banned for objecting to me being banned.
There were a lot of laughs back then, but a lot of people were culled as well.
A part of why the blogs and forums are how they are now is because many of us learned to play it straight in order to avoid suspensions and bans.
I used to make people laugh on here, now I just write careful essays.

She is, we've been close friends since the early seventies but she had issues with the Christian fundamentalist that were flooding the forums at the time. She's very knowlegable and would fight them with facts and comprehensively debunk much of their bible bashing without resorting to name calling or nastiness.She did like a tipple or two though.
