I have plenty of consideration for other folks, and I expect the same in return. No excuse for rudeness.

I live in a world where people give one another lifts, leave bags of garden veg hanging on your door for when you get back, pay for your coffee without telling you and you discover it when you go to pay as you leave, hold doors and shopping bags for you, the boys take their grandmothers for walks, everyone says hello as you cross in the streets, people allow you out of side streets in the next bigger town, people in the street ask you how you are if they haven't seen you in a while... there is also gossip and nosiness, but overall I notice more benefits than negatives teddybear

Regardless of the generation, rudeness is a thing taught by parents & grandparents. They may not necessarily realize the kids are copying their mannerisms but there it is.
If behaved in a rude manner, I was scolded or, should the offense deem it, the wooden spoon came out. My kids were taught manners as babies and I followed up with this all through their lives. If they should not realize someone was behind them and the door shut in their face before they could catch it, the first thing they do is apologize...... like their mama taught them.

There's 2 sides to consideration some people do it because they mean it, and some people do it for the glory of reputation..
As for some of the inconsiderate people they can be that way because they purely hate the other person, which is honesty at the end of the day;; indirect inconsideration or acting ignorant with inconsideration are some of the worst forms of it..

It's all about good manners in my opinion. You either have them or you haven't and as Taralyn has said much of it is to do with good parenting skills.

My parents were the same so all these things just come naturally to me . We are all adults now but they would still correct us if we said or did something wrong.

If you look at society in general , then consideration is not top of their priority list .
If you take families for example , young single mothers having children without giving thought to what impact it would have on the child’s upbringing..

Women can just never win in the eyes of man by the sounds of it!!! If they have a termination they're murderers and if they bring their child up alone they're inconsiderate!

I imagine young single mothers would much rather bring up their children with a loving partner by their side...

If you think about it logically, men were actually raised by mothers , so if you’re going to blame the child’s father for impregnating a women without the responsibility of being part of the child’s life in a daily basis , then you have to blame his mother for a bad upbringing professor

As a result of the one parent family , the male offspring becomes attached to it mother , often copying her behaviour, substantially ending up gay , whereas the female offspring ends up hating men due to mind poisoning by the mother & ends up a lesbian .

If you look at facts , the countries with the highest divorced or single parent families , have the highest gay population.
