What is the stereotype/ most ridicules you hear about your country?
For Belgium it is: Chocolate, beer, waffles and French fries.
And,... Belgium is the capital city of Brussels!
French fries: Despite its name, the French fry is not French. The origins of the French fry have been traced back to Belgium, where historians claim potatoes were being fried in the late-1600s. According to local Belgian lore, poor villagers living in Meuse Valley often ate small fried fish they caught in the river. During the winter months the river would freeze over — making fishing impossible and forcing the villagers to find other sources of food. Enter the potato. The villagers turned to the root plant, slicing and frying it much in the same way they prepared the fish. And just like that, the earliest French fries were born.
Many talk about the weather in England, it's always raining. This is partly true, but most people don't know it's also the tornado capital of the world. Yes, England has more tornadoes per square mile than any country in the world.

Really? Never heard that before, strange we never hear about it in the news.
But the rain ... I was on a road trip in the UK in August 2016 for 3 weeks, and we got rain for 3 weeks. But it was one of my best trips ever.

That’s interesting fact about England being the Tornado capital of the world.... and odd to me England has half the land area that Ohio has. When I was young, England seemed huge to me.

Strange thing is, I never seen one.
"Other 'hot spots' in the world for tornadoes The UK - Although the USA, on average, sees more severe tornadoes and the most tornadoes of any country in the world, it may be a surprise to know the country that receives the most tornadoes in the world by total area is England."
Sawdust_Molly: The most funny thing I heard about Canadians that the you lives in a Igloo
For the record: My grandfather is Canadian.
I wouldn't mind spending a night in a igloo just to see what its like, they say that they can get decently warm inside when its made well and you have enough people.

Especially " enough people" to keep each other warm.
