Talk about durability—-about 8 years ago I finally had to throw out my pair of Wolverine hiking/camping boots. ( waffle-stompers). My step-father, in a weak moment- had bought them for me at Portland Outdoor Store when I was a high-school freshman. I wore them most of the time- that means, with constant use, they lasted 39 years. I also had made a chambray shirt in “Bachelor Survival” ( Boy’s Home-Ec). Although it had two left sleeves ( I got a ‘C+) it lasted until 1999–about 26 years. I still have my graduation cap and tassel...------ This thread is Archived ------

I still have my graduation tassles. Caps went long time ago and I had cremation ceremonies for my high school and college papers when I retired in 2007.

About 7 to 8 years ago had to let go of a pair of skinny fit red levi's because they had so many holes in them. First wore them in the late 70's when I was a student

Some still fit. I went from size 7 shoe to 8. Had to dump my hip huggers tho. Wore them skin tight and my skin got thicker. 
I weigh the same. Still have same basic figure. But, with age, things rather settled, so hips spread and thighs got thicker.
My saying is your innies become outies, uppies become downies..and you get taller cause things that fall on the floor are farther away.

I was a size 10 in high school which is a size 6 US
I'm now a size 8 which is a size 4 in the US

I've been a size 8 (US 4) since for ever apart from when I was preggers and after the menopause went down to size 6 (US 2) … fortunately I went back up to an 8 when I didn't smoke any more a few years ago
And same shoe size since I was about 12

I was all tummy when I was pregnant I was huge..Couldn't tell I was pregnant from the back but OMG I was huge front wise..I was a size 16 when I was pregnant..Size 16 in the US would of been a size 12.And same shoe size since I was about 12
I puff 3 cigarettes a day..Don't be shocked many gym people smoke heaps more than me

I wore a size 8 in high school. Then went to 7. Now WTH? One size that fits no one. Or size ZERO? What if that is too big? Negative sizes?
Tried on a pair of pants once..thought tag said 7. Came out and asked clerk, these are a bit loose, is there a smaller size. She said no, 3 is the smallest..huh? These are 7s. No, 3s. I checked tag...sure enough they said 3. I said I didn't wear a 3 when I WAS 3!
Now sizes are all over the board. My closet has small to xl, 4 to 9 and anything in a range of sizes. Makes shopping on line and store a pain. China runs small..unless they don't. England has this size, India that.
Gal mentioned to me, watch sizes cause now XL and larger changed and run sizes like 7,8...instead of 24, 26... Oh great! More confusion!!

You could see I was pregnant even if I was half hidden by something With my I was like you. All up front, didn't show from the back … 3 cigs a day is not much really … why not enjoy them …
I didn't smoke anymore because smoking starting making me feel really horrible every morning with my first of the day … till one day I didn't light it, or the next... Been about 7 years now since I didn't light the first of the day. I stopped sounding like an old man coughing my lungs up every morning now
Someone else said to me today in a shop about China doing something wrong with their clothes sizes
In France I was size 36 which is a UK 8 and now in Spain I'm a 36 ..
I think we're both quite fit size wise although in your case more toned so
