pedro27: I went 2 work today attending a plasterer, and I jacked up because I am physically unfit, I did the full day but I am unable to continue tomorrow , I haven't worked in the past 5 years, I need to get strong and fit again
Firstly Pedro kudos for mentioning this.
Most of my life I have walked to and from work. Takes approx 45 minutes each way. Equates to around 5 miles per day and around 10000 steps. 10k steps is what I’d recommend per day. I think. I have never been to gym. Don’t like work outs. And they cost money. Yes push ups, press ups are good. Get yourself an app or a Fitbit which count your steps and much more. Set yourself a goal and gradually improve on that. As you start going to work on a regular basis , I am sure your stamina and fitness levels will get better.
Must stress every individuals needs are different. And must also stress not to over do these exercises etc. Can do more harm than good.
This just my own experience. I am not a qualified PT etc.
And agreeing with General mental fitness is equally important. And so is a balanced diets and a good nights sleep.

thumbs up cheers

Oh take it very easy to start with so or you could end up really hurting yourself and only making things worse for yourself...

How about starting with just a 10min walk twice a day and building it up by adding 5 mins to one walk each day...and make sure you arrive back home a bit breathless and very warm or slightly sweaty...you'd be surprised at just how good you'll feel after a few days of doing just that. Then just push yourself a little bit harder every day..

.It doesn't really matter what you do Pedro as long as you keep moving and do enough to get your lungs and heart working a bit harder every day :))

pedro27: Great advise GB but I need to increase my stanima, I will take my chances on a less psychical if the oppurutinty arises but for now, i will pondered it
I never said to overdo it or go to the point of exhaustion, however, stopping to work is not a good idea, deal with the initial pain with showers, relaxation, and sleep, and even a walk at night... if not the next 5 years will be the same as the last 5 years. Don't ponder... get motivated and stop thinking negatively. This is about you... no one else. Mentally you will improve also and not be as depressed. You're no dummy... this is where you have to start for the future.

There is a technique for every exercise..There are do's and dont's for every exercise..You must activate your core in every exercise..If you don't know how to activate your core..Google / study and practice.

For example a push up isn't about having arms out wide then bam wham thank you mam

Your goals will be achieved with perfect technique and what you consume...Us who are sculpted are addicted to technique first.

I am totally unfit I need 2 get a grip and get fit big time........

Pedro....If I can offer my two cents worth............IF you have room for one, get yourself a treadmill. You probably can find one rather cheap, either thru the newspapers or online ( craigs list ), since a lot of people buy them and never use them. Plus, it would give you the opportunity to exercise through the Winter when it's too cold and lousy to get outside. You can do it, just hang in there. scold thumbs up applause

I agree. But keeping the job has built-in motivation. Maybe balancing the two would be a problem?
