Tulefell: If you knew that you are going to die tomorrow, how would you spend today?
I'd find and burn a bunch of love letters from 28 years ago and go paddling no matter the weather.
It's funny you ask that..That's almost the same question I asked myself a while ago and i didn't like the answer. So .I've set something in motion that's going to totally change my world.. I've no idea how it's going to go..but sure what the hell, I'll find out soon enough

Tomorrow belongs to the old just like today, yesterday and the day before. If we could all die tomorrow was even a bit true we wouldn't have a futureless, dwindling posterity. Swerving covid is doing everything you can to cheat death, the personification of promising tomorrow to yourself.

I’d spend the day with all my family hugging and laughing.
I always had this thing where I won’t leave anything unsaid to people I care about or leave anyone with bad feelings. If I was to die today I’ve left nobody with bad words or not knowing how much they mean to me.
I also have a few private letters and stuff I’d get rid of first

I’ve been asked this before. I’d probably get a pack of Marleboro ( how I miss my cigarettes at times), some vodka and Clamato, put on Irish ballads, and kick back...do we ever really know how we’d spend our last day?

I'd spend it doing what I'm doing now...... cooking soup, folding laundry and taking my boy to work. Why??? Just as you should never leave things for special occasions and end up never wearing, using or giving what it was you were saving, the same goes for works and actions. Since our parents died, they were 52 and 57 when they passed, we adopted the attitude of always saying "I love you" when we part , whether it's by phone or in person. I have had 2 scares in recent years - I stopped breathing while in a diabetic coma and needed resuscitation and then a few years later, I had a heart attack because I had 2 blockages that required stents. You recover from that and you know that your time on earth is not promised. If there is something you need to do, do it now. Something you need to say, say it now. Tomorrow may be too, too late.
blathin: I'll let you know when it's done Tulefell...til then I don't want to jink it ..so fingers crossed in the mean time
Well... I've noticed that if I tell somebody about my plans, it's not going to happen: as if the energy gets out of it. Weird, but true. So, fingers crossed :)

Wonderful attitude - being in the now all the time! I working on it, but not there yet: I let a lot of the past go, but I still plan for the future :)

No, we don't. But our intentions tell a tale about who we are. Or do they?
bodleing2: If you contemplate on the 'fact' that you might die today when you wake up in the morning, the day takes on a whole new meaning.
Spot on....
If I'd one day left: I'd write a note to my siblings saying thanks for everything. I'd write a note to my friends saying goodbye. I'd write a note to my nephews/nieces telling them how proud I am of how they turned out. I'd go for one last walk. I'd read my favourite poetry. (I wouldn't have time for a whole book). Finally I'd start drinking and listening to my favourite music. I'd drink a lot because if there's no tomorrow then there's no hangover right?
