I have tinnitus so I hear two cycle engines in the distance, and sometimes I hear music playing clear as a bell.. Too many years of construction sites, and rock concerts..
Those things are bad enough, so I pray I never get the evil voices..

I had a neighbor a while back who heard voices when she forgot to take her meds. One day I came home from work and my driveway was full of police cars, the street was full of firetrucks. When I could finally get close enough to see what had happened/was happening, ibwas told that she was trying to burn out the Germans by blasting the heaters and using the stoves burners and oven.
Poor dear almost got them too except someone could smell something burning and called 911.
We lived in a duplex so if her side burnt, my side was going too.
She spent about 6 months in the hospital then......

I know someone who was afflicted by Titinitus, he was in the automotive industry and popped a lot of tires in his life and his hearing was bad. Tried everything... nothing worked. Then he tried a Masking Device... the electronic earplugs which can be regulated by Bluetooth and it worked for him. Maybe an option. ------ This thread is Archived ------

Yeah, I'm sure it's ear drum damage.. Mine's not so bad yet, but I can see it getting that way.. I'll check that out...
