germanspitz: Thoughts to all the above for sharing their sadness
Losing my brother at 35 and having to go and tell my parents about his death as he died in Sri Lanka on holiday and there was no direct line to the U.K. from his resort so we heard it second hand.
My Father had recently suffered a severe heart attack and I dreaded telling him that his youngest son had died.
Losing my Dad on my birthday was also such a sorrowful time.
Two tragic losses, GS but especially so when it occurs on a date that should be joyful and fun. My heart goes out to each and every one of you. Regardless of opinions and distance, it is good to know that someone will listen and encourage.

This is nothing! Cricketers knows what pain is , when that ball hits your Goolies . On your fours with severe pain for at least 5 minutes. And to make it worse the fellow players will be laughing and joking .
When my 7th month old was critically ill and put in an induced coma for a week. Didn't leave hospital for a month and thereafter travelled from Waterford to Dublin every second day between Feb to mid April. Her dad then up and left the end of April.

Sad to read this MG but hope this has made you stronger having been through such trauma. All good wishes to you and your child.
