For me...Colour matters but just as much texture and smell matter ...

I can't ever buy anything, and I mean anything if the texture under my fingers is not pleasant... I won't get it even if I like the colour ...

For clothes the colours go in phases but I feel and smell the clothes and if I get a sick feeling to my stomach I don't buy them not matter how much I like them ... I think the sick feeling is due to sensing they were made under inhuman conditions ...

My favourite colours over all are indigo/azul añil, purple, blue/green, red, silver grey, white, turquoise...

In every colour there are warn tones and cold tones. Cold tones tend to make my face more full of light ...

As for my sensitivity to smells it's almost a hindrance laugh but very useful most of the time ... makes it very difficult for people around me to lie about anything they've been up to rolling on the floor laughing

I had a boyfriend who played amazing jaw dropping Spanish guitar and when he played, when I closed my eyes I could see his music in colours swirling and "caleidoscoping" ...

I also often see colours and patterns after meditation just before receiving an insight or message which I then go and write down ...

Selenite: Hey Ro

Your veg sound yummy!!!

I ordered Balti veg with pilau rice and we shared Bombay potatoes and some other potato dish with spinach.
Started with chapattis dipped in plum chutney. Delish!

About dreams ...

I always dream in colour and extreme detail ... just like a colour film on TV
Sometimes I'm in the dream as well as an "outside" observer so I see myself and what is happening and other times I'm in the dream and perceive things just like in "normal life" ...
Some of my dreams have been epic and sometimes I dream the next episode the following night
Your dreams sound interesting Sel.
Mine are also very colourful and very vivid.
But...all in one episode.laugh

bodleing2: It certainly is, so much so that I can remember my last lsd experience was 30th May 1970.
That was after spending a period of around 15 months experimenting. Before I took the drug I researched a little and found a very informative book on the subject..

LSD — The Problem-Solving Psychedelic
P.G. Stafford and B.H. Golightly

The book went into the amazing power of the drug to be able to open up the creative skills and problem solving capabilities within the individual. At the time, compared to today, very little was known about the drug and it's possibilities, particularly in the field of mental health. Even today studies are very limited due to government restrictions in trialing lsd.
From what I have seen and read recently, trials using lsd on people suffering major depression and trauma have been most encouraging. It seems that after just a couple of sessions the patients was able to come off antidepressants immediately and return to a normal life.
One patient being interviewed said it was an incredible turn around in his life after just two sessions but had to return to taking antidepressants some months later as the government had stopped all trials.
Call me cynical but that would certainly be in the interests of the pharmaceutical companies and their mass production and distribution of antidepressants.

Just a short extract from the book I mentioned....

"I think that as a result of the psychedelic experience there's a heightened sense of the drama of life, including its brevity, and a realization both of the importance of one's individual life and of the fact that a sacred task has been given to the individual in the development of the self..."

Just to make it clear, I don't advocate the taking of lsd unless it's under medical supervision, it's a very powerful and unpredictable drug. I got away with it (well almost) all those years ago, but I know a few who didn't.
A good assessment of the subject, it does work under some mental health problems I was sorry when they stopped experiments it was a good earner when I was a poor student laugh

For me too, Sel.
I also need to feel the material.
In fact, with the eyes shut, you should also be able to feel the colour as they all have a different vibration.

Vivid dreams are great ... they're like our own personal movies
They're not always great though...especially if they are premonitions about future events...or visions of the future.
All your senses are aware and you can feel what's going on doh

I was at a self awareness workshop long ago and we learned how to FEEL colours...how fast they vibrate..
Very interesting!

With fabrics it's very interesting.

Now...if we can feel the colour by feeling the material...imagine the effect it has on our body when we wear certain colours?

Although we may not be conscious of it, they still have an effect on our moods.

Another experiment:
Try to put some clothes on..a teashirt..with your eyes shut, and how you feel?
Then try other colours..without looking at them. thumbs up

Anyway...I'm going to dream in colour now.
yawn sleep

Will write the colour vibes here tomorrow.

Night x

Great discussion with Selenite and AI about textures and smell. And this is probably how blind people would recognise things.

Reminds me of a film called Daredevil. Ben afleck is blind and gets his sight back. Even though he can see now, he still feels and smells the apple before eating. He did know different colours by sight . That is a good film .

Glad you enjoyed it 4u1 .
Yes, blind people have to rely on their other senses.

That´s why, as I explained, it´s a good experiment to FEEL the colours with your eyes shut.

Never saw that film. dunno

I´ve searched everywhere for my colour chart - the one from the workshops - but cannot find it anywhere! sigh

But, here are a few colours for you, which I´ve retrieved:

The color red has the longest wavelength and the slowest vibration,
while the color violet, at the other end of the spectrum, has the shortest wavelength and the fastest vibration of electromagnetic energy.

You´ll just have to work out the other colours in between?

How does this affect our moods? Colors emit vibrations and our eyes perceive the wavelengths.
