I like the colours of space - black, dark blue, purple, violet with some light blue, pink and white touch. I like to paint using those colours. Sometimes I add some silver or gold. Although I also enjoyed painting sunsets and using red, orange and yellow. But, I wouldn't wear such clothes. I prefer to wear black and pink. My room is all in various shades of purple.

I recently read an article based on a study which suggested that people are likely to eat more snacks and consume more soft drinks if they are served on a blue plate, or in a blue cup. Food and drink served in red crockery was found to lower consumption.

I'm going to make sure my pickiest, skinniest grandchild eats off the blue 'Paw Patrol' plate and not the red 'Cars' plate next time I make them their dinner. laugh

AI_1984: With fabrics it's very interesting.

Now...if we can feel the colour by feeling the material...imagine the effect it has on our body when we wear certain colours?

Although we may not be conscious of it, they still have an effect on our moods.

Another experiment:
Try to put some clothes on..a teashirt..with your eyes shut, and how you feel?
Then try other colours..without looking at them.

Anyway...I'm going to dream in colour now.

Will write the colour vibes here tomorrow.

Night x
Every day for me is like wearing a colour palette … depending on how I vibrate when I get dressed … what type of clothes and colours I wear are super important for my day ahead... cheering

I will try consciously feeling the colours rather than do it by "instinct" (which serves me well) …

Hope you had sweet Technicolor dreams hug

4u1mxit: Great discussion with Selenite and AI about textures and smell. And this is probably how blind people would recognise things.

Reminds me of a film called Daredevil. Ben afleck is blind and gets his sight back. Even though he can see now, he still feels and smells the apple before eating. He did know different colours by sight . That is a good film .
Sounds like I film I'd enjoy ….

I have to smell and feel everything even though I'm not blind … laugh

AI_1984: I´ve searched everywhere for my colour chart - the one from the workshops - but cannot find it anywhere!

But, here are a few colours for you, which I´ve retrieved:

The color red has the longest wavelength and the slowest vibration,
while the color violet, at the other end of the spectrum, has the shortest wavelength and the fastest vibration of electromagnetic energy.

You´ll just have to work out the other colours in between?

How does this affect our moods? Colors emit vibrations and our eyes perceive the wavelengths.
Love this!!!

When I was a teacher I asked the students to help me repaint our classroom! They came back after school to do it!!! AND they weren't on detention laugh
I designed some geometric shapes on the walls in various colours I had researched (but can't now remember - was well over 15 years ago) … we chose colours that helped their mind stay alert, colours that helped them remain calm etc … They totally respected the space because we created it together! It was the funkiest classroom in the whole (secondary) school! cheering

My most recent experience was on Tuesday while I was at the osteopath for a problem shoulder... while he was doing the "manipulations" was laying down with my eyes closed and I started seeing the colours of the notes by the musical instruments … the piano notes had a particular colour and movement and the violoncello had completely different colours and movements. I gave the osteopath a running commentary of the colours to the music he was playing! Was really cool!!

Will defo do the experiment of practising knowing the colours from feel with eyes closed. Thanks for info Dan wave

Hello dear lady wave

I couldn't respond to your comment as I changed my profile but...here I am..

The colours you describe are very mystical. I also love space colours.

How's your art getting on? It would be nice if you could post some of your paintings here?
