An educated man asks a boatman to ferry him across to the other side of the island. During this small journey, educated man asks the boatman numerous questions and boatman fails to answer any of them. The boatman unlike his passenger had very little knowledge about most things. The educated man calls this humble boatman completely ignorant and stupid. As the boat reached halfway, it hit a big piece of metal floating in the sea and punctured a hole in the boat. As the water started to fill the boat, Boatman tells his passenger that boat is about to sink and they will have to swim to the shore. At this point the Educated man felt very stupid and insignificant and tells the boatman that he cannot swim. The boatman manages to take the boat as close to the shore as possible before the boat sinks completely. And boatman being an expert swimmer, manages to swim to the shore while carrying the educated man with him. Both of them survive this ordeal.
