What does it mean when someone looks at you a lot, asks a lot of questions or mirrors you behavior and dress in real life. I see people do this all the time.
Even at work my peoples would wear a tie if I wore a tie or they wore shorts if I wore shorts etc. i grew a beard, almost everyone else grew a beard. What does all this mean?

They like your swag...What you describe has absolutely nothing to do with ones personality

If they mirror your behavior and dress, they are infatuated with you; the curious side-product is that they believe the feeling is mutual. Of course we all know that often it is NOT...thereby hangs a million tales....

They like what they see and subconsciously want to be you either personally or professionally. If you do something and it earns you more respect, promotion, etc, others will emulate you to the best of their ability, hoping for the same reaction. They don't realize that despite emulating your awesome taste, they lack the oomph that is all yours.

rohaan: Ive been waiting 30 years for this “ golf” validation. I can think of at least one hundred things to do instead. My opinion: it’s a form of the adage about the emperors’ new clothes— people “ go along” with the jig because they think they’re supposed to, or that they’ll look awkward if they don’t. Golf is the biggest nothing of all time, if you ask me...however, to each his own, and, hey golf enthusiasts— if it makes you happy...whatever..
I disagree RO Golf is a great sport . Its not too physically demanding as most contact sports( unless you get a stray one landing on your head) It’s a great form of exercise , plus there is a certain amount of social activity involved when playing a round .. I’ve only encountered gentleman playing from my experience.

Sure. I, personally, just don’t see it. I DID say, to each his own. Didn’t mean to offend...probably I could have said my piece better.

I wasn’t offended.. I kind of thought the same myself , until I started playing more during lockdown.. now I’ve got the bug .. a particularly expensive one at that !!
Why fight it, Gal... you have the thing. You know the THING... everyone wants the THING. Be glad you got the thing.
My most obsessed troll's hatred, venom, ignorance, bitterness, lies, and sly remarks will eventually be her own demise, it's really sad. Many people don't have the thing... we got the thing.

This morning I re- read this post, and it reminded me of a situation many years ago in Portland. (“ stalking” was just on the horizon, but not in the general news yet, to any significant degree). I was working in a hospital in the city and living in the suburbs, taking the bus to work and CEU university classes. It became obvious to me that a man was always walking in my same direction, on the opposite street. He would smile and make eye contact. He got on the bus a stop later than I, every time. He got off downtown, and “ shadowed” me to the college or next bus stop; whichever. This went on for several months. ( if I changed my routine, he would figure it out and adjust..creepy, huh?) He was never threatening in any way. I spoke to a long- time registered nurse friend, who had experience in social work. She said he was, for some reason, infatuated. She advised that I try to talk to him about it. So, the next time he followed me to Portland, on the bus, I quickly turned to him and pointed out my observations. He panicked for a minute, then said he was, indeed following me, he just “ liked” me, and promised to stop, which he did. Don’t know for sure, but I came to believe that he possibly had some diminished capabilities. Take from this some wisdom.
