2020 , will forever be known for the year of the Wuhan virus ..
It has been a year of sacrifices , with the majority of it spent at home , away from family, friends & loved ones .
Many of us have lost loved ones, not only the vulnerable but the fit , young & people who were thought to have a high immune system. The virus took no prisoners .
But what has 2020 taught us . From my own personal experience, it’s taught me to be humble & never to take being alive for granted .

Roll on 2021 thumbs up

I think it is most known as coronavirus.

Nonetheless, my experience is as lots of people are aching for embracing some or other cult. This year it happened to be lock-down and face mask cult. And conspiracy!

Our freedoms can be stripped away at any time and the government and police are state terrorists. That our elders are completely spineless bad parents.

If you delete the year , the you would delete the memories of those who suffered during the pandemic.
Maybe it’s better to learn than to erase. thumbs up

I agree with your first 2 points , but try to convince those who lost loved ones that it was all a conspiracy.

We became victims of a system that makes men torture and imprison innocent people. Billions of men, women and little children despairing throughout the world. And fatter profits for the machine, the machine men with machine hearts.

One2note: The dilemma we face now is , will we be punished if we refuse to take the vaccine. By punished I mean.. will we be allowed to travel , or be allowed in social gatherings if we abstain from the vaccine. Will our jobs be affected?
Well... I'm confused about to whom do you refer by "we". Would you like to clarify that?

The end of liberalism and free speech. The end of progressives who believe that life can be free and beautiful because the earth is rich and can provide for everyone. It's the year of the fat cat where left becomes right and right becomes left.

Unfortunately, profits before life , has always been the policy or the superpowers.
The recent war in the Caucasus, where Armenian settlements were attacked by Azerbaijan/ Turkey. Innocent civilians, churches & hospitals were bombed.. people beheaded and war crimes committed but the west kept silent . Why , because of the oil companies have a vested interest in Baku .

Doctor's nurses and other health care workers are getting well and truly shafted and have been for so long, they have been to the forefront during all this chaos, and I hope they get the recognition for the amazing work they are doing and have done..

No doubt . Although it is there job , I’m sure many key workers went beyond their call of duty , but we also have to spare a thought for those unsung heroes .
The public who volunteered to help the vulnerable & to those who generously donated money to help deprived schoolchildren, who didn’t have the necessary software to carry on their education from home . thumbs up

That Sweden is not evil and the last vestiges of egalitarianism and freedom are found in their light touch approach. Sustainability methods that the poor pay for with far fewer lives. Lockdown says to the world that if a million die and some are rich then it is a tragedy, and if one hundred million poor people die it's a statistic. It's gone full blown Stalinist this year but Sweden has resisted the regressive left today as it has done in the past.

That some people live lives of immense privilege and social power bought by wealth.

Although I am comfortably off, I realised they were way out of my league and really live lives of immense guarded social privilege as do their children.

I see things you mentioned 180 degrees different about old people. Young people are the ones who are spineless and think the world owes them everything.
