Come Aug. 24, Goodhue, Minnesota will be without a police force after all SEVEN of its officers, including the chief resigned.
It appears she didn't know..

In the USA, municipal police and the sheriff department are two different animals. I thought this was a thread about sheriffs? And not all sheriffs' are elected.
I am curious what happened in Goodhue. It is not unknown for a decent person elected to mayor, demand that the corrupt police force change. And they quit in masse.
So I am open. Small towns and corrupt police, who would have thought.
Heck I have lived long enough to give you plenty of examples.
Oh, in Alabama we have a cult-like church that managed to get its own police department for their "campus".
That required the state legislature to approve it. They did.
