I know only too well about the blessings (and at times curse ) of being an empath. So say no more!

About 'a stable job for a guy', personally it's been nearly 30 years since my life was sustained by someone else's money who I'm in a relationship with ... as long as he can look after himself and we connect on emotional, spiritual, mental and physical level and look for the same thing in a relationship,

I don't care what he does for a living
You're one of the very rare women who thinks that way. But I DO hate putting everyone in the same bag as I believe every individual in unique.
Many women say that's how they feel and the guy falls for it, only to find himself dropped like old sock as soon as he loses his job.
How many men have committed suicide because they thought they were loved unconditionally until they lose their job and the wife takes off with the kids and the dog, leaving him to sleep under a bridge? I'd say too many.

Wow! I'm shocked!

I hear so many heart breaking storirs from women about how some men treated them and so many heart breaking stories from men about how some women treated them. It's such a pity that both genders generalise and think that's how women /men are ... with such negative and inaccurate convictions about the opposite gender, it's a wonder people are still having relationships and getting married ...

A wife don't come for free and someone should have told him.

The common practice is for male 5s to marry female 4s, an unemployment insurance that can last upwards of 3 months. She is still promoted genetically.

I doubt that you really mean "you don't care what he does for a living".

There are so many avenues I could name that would probably make a difference to care what he does for a living but it would be useless to name them.

I have met several men who were out of a job but I didn't end the relationship because of it. I did end a relationship because I found out that someone had a very colorful past that put him in federal prison.

I would rather love a man who is out of a job than one who broke federal laws that caused sadness to so many people.

Ohhhhj yeah! Great point SA!

Thanks for pointing that out! I m with you on that one!

Not worried about his income as long as he's self-sufficient but yeah! Let his 'job' be ethical and respect people and living beings... angel

Yep, should have. Except his dad couldn't be honest with him for fear of having to sleep out in the doghouse and all his mom wanted was a grandchild.
He'd heard older guys at work talk about their married life but he deluded himself into thinking that won't be him at their age.
Some of his friends may have warned him but he just thought they were bitter or jealous because they couldn't "pull" a woman as beautiful as his cupcake so on and so forth...

I doubt many people would blame a women for breaking up after she finds out the guy took part in a botched bank robbery where several employees, bystanders and officers lost their lives.
That would be like blaming a man for breaking up after he finds out his cupcake slept with his dad or that she had her ex-husband hit by a paid professional.

I'm not talking about people we should ALL keep our distances from, spychos and murderers.
I'm just talking about the average guy who only gets speeding tickets.

Take a critical view of the whole thing.
Families fall apart because people spend a lot of their more time at work than at home.
Around a hundred years ago, workers were still fighting for a 28-hour work week. Today we can be happy if we can survive from our second job, even as a single parent. In addition, it is propagated everywhere everyone is closest to themselves. Why Loyalty? Every few years a new job, a new life partner. We live in a “fun-and-games society” because fun has become so expensive. What is happiness? This society is so hungry for happiness, for Love. Everything is allowed and even trendy to try out. Don't want to talk badly, everyone should live as they like.
This great new world is a huge lie.
The breakup of the traditional family creates many problems. Psychiatrists have dealing for generations with this mess.
I see every day the fragments of personality of the people they never got a halfway intact family to know. hug
Sorry for my digressions.

Selenite: Hey thanks!!!
Interesting!!

I think people/couples should do what makes them happy rather than what society of family "dictates" or what's "trendy" ...
Sure, but mothers-in-law would never allow that.
When a man marries his woman, he also marries his mother-in-law and he better tow the line or he's gone.

Yes, I've met quite a few for coffee, for lunch, for a walk on the beach, and second and third dates as well.
But nothing serious.

My mother never interfered with any of my relationships (2 marriages) and I don't interfere with my children's.

My son is not married with his partner and they have one child together, they just bought a house without interference from either "mother in law" laugh

My daughter only has a mother right now but when she had a partner I didn't interfere in their relationship ...

Our perceptions about what goes on in relationships and marriages are so different, I think we live on different planet Cavalero laugh
