We have the same size here in Illinois. Though the driveway for the house I live at, is a lot longer, I think about 100-120 feet long. I have seen ones that are even longer, maybe about a .25 miles long.

I like the short driveway at the King Mountain Ranch in Colorado. I thought it was a great place to vacation. Perfect for cross country skiing.
This is my driveway, I don't have a garbage bin, I fill up one plastic bag every week, and carry it to the end of the driveway... ... My neighbors fill up 2 bins every week...
My house is on the left side, middle of photo... ...
galrads: You should see the size of our recycle bins. They want to tax us if we don’t put it out for pickup with something in it once a month. Bless the bean counters.
My friend in NJ has to put his recycle bins in the back of his pick up truck and take them to the road side to be emptied once every 2 weeks. Then he has to pick them up from the roadside and bring them back to his house. He lives down in the woods so very secluded. It's not a problem for him.
Here in Spain, we are charged/taxed twice per year for our rubbish. We have to take our rubbish to the bins ourselves. Geeze

That's beautiful! Glad to hear that some people actually recycle.

My friend in NJ fills up his buckets with household rubbish. He recycles his plastics, cans etc. In fact he has a can crusher in his "Truck Body" as he calls it. So he crushes all the cans "us Brits call them tins lol" He gets money for them when weighed in. It's good to see that we are doing more for the environment rather than just lay back and want other people to do it for you
Not seen one of those in Blackpool yet But having said that. My daughter has 3 bins. One for rubbish, 1 for plastics, bottles etc. and one for garden waste, plus the weighted bag for paper and cardboard. Brilliant service to be honest amidst these difficult times. So kudos to them
I appreciate what the Uk is trying to do and continue to do so. It's not about the money. Maybe some people in America wouldn't agree ::dunno:
