That’s where we were from originally. A little north of Vasosi, but in the famagousta region .A beautiful village , very mountainous with a Picturesque coastline . Paradise, is what a lot of people described it .

A beautiful place, it's a small world really, the only restrictions there were ,
no taking pics, which of course i did of some of those lovely mountains.

I did pay a visit to the occupied part once , after the opened the boarder, just to show my daughter her roots . Everything was the same as we left it in 1974 , other than they took every reminder that it was once a Christian country . , No memorabilia on our churches , all the graves were removed of crosses.no taking pics, which of course i did of some of those lovely mountains.

We took over Cyprus originally to protect our interests in the Suez Canal. Greeks and Turks had always occupied the island.In August 1960 Cyprus became a republic but has always remained a bone of contention.
