There are a few words that i dislike intensely , and cringe when ever i hear them
in a conversation,,, Fool, Stupid, Bas###d, and a few more vile words.
I have heard them used to children, on the street, a few times, people that do that shouldn't even be
in charge of children.

Be careful with the words you use, they could have a long lasting affect, especially on the very youngscold professor

I used to call my daughter a little bastard.

Given I was a single parent living in a time warped village, I thought it best to blunt the blade of that particular savage weapon.

Much to my satisfaction the target of my verbal abuse piped up one day and in the light and lispy melody of the very small I heard the words, "I blame my parents..."

Underestimating others in ignorance of their context may be foolish, too.

there are a few words i seem to be allergic to -parent 1 and parent 2 , herd immunity , human resource, damn my list is getting longer as the efforts to dumb us down grow...and dummies who support such efforts (useful idiots) doing it for free, unable to see the consequences .

I've been feeling unwell recently and as all the doctors are liars, perhaps you could give me the number of a wizard or a magical gnome?

Well, in the Netherlands a lot of people use the word Kanker, meaning cancer (the disease, not the zodiac sign). And even more people hate it when they use that word to curse. Also young guys use the word to say Kanker vet, which means it's awesome or great. Using this term if you don't mean the disease is hurtful for a lot of people, especially the ones who lost a loved one to it or have relatives that are suffering from this disease.

I know your focus is on the young, which I applaud, but the term Verbal Abuse seems to have evolved to the point where people are afraid to talk/argue with each other.

How do I tell my partner for the fifth time that she is doing something that upsets me, but which she believes is her God given right to do, without it being interpreted as verbal abuse? handshake

Children are innocent and not in a position to stand up to to adults.

As for a partner/ husband/ wife, if someone is being abused either verbally, or physically

It shouldn't be tolerated, it's time to leave themhug

I read somewhere ''the pen is mightier than the sword''
Jan 16, 2021 1:45 PM CST Words Wound!!
"The pen is mightier than the sword" is a metonymic adage, penned by English author Edward Bulwer-Lytton in 1839, indicating that communication (particularly written language), or in some interpretations, administrative power or advocacy of an independent press, is a more effective tool than direct violence.
