Despite all the blather, docs have said, doesn't prevent, only lessens risk and risk of death. Still can get, still can pass it on. The rose colored glass crowd dont want it known. I guess the hope is with mass vaccinations, people will still get it, just not fill hospitals. Nothing said tho about long haulers.

Yeh? So? It's not some sort of Star Trekky invisible protective shield you know. It's not going to block the virus from getting near you or even inside you.
It's just meant to prevent you from getting seriously ill with Covid19 (the actual illness). ... reduce the symptons if you do catch it...
It's the same with all vaccines...e.g. whooping cough. It's one very serious illness and the effects are so bad it used to kill babies and young children....With the vaccine, you can still catch it, but it will just be a really horrible cough. Ditto the covid vaccine...and ditto every other illness that are vaccinated against....

There's no one forcing you to have the vaccination, that's a matter of personal choice, but if you did get sick I bet any money you'd be the first one demanding 1st world blue chip calibre treatment by the UK's "FREE" healthcare system .......

I got the swine flu vaccine and contracted swine flu (proven through testing) 2 weeks after when the vaccine was supposed to protect me in 2009.
It happens, none of these are 100%, especially viruses do mutate.
I didn't feel great, but I wasn't as sick as other with it. I credit the vaccine for this.

My friend who lives in NJ had his son, wife and young 6yr old son stay at his house (from Pennsylvania) over the New Year for a few days. I spoke to him a few days ago on the phone. My friend had just spent 7 days in the hospital with pneumonia/bronchitis as he suffers from it with his underlying problems. It turns out that he had Covid, passed on by his son and wife whilst they were staying with him. His son got it whilst working, repairing buses re SEPTA. In the Uk, we had one day "Christmas Day" when we were allowed 1 person into your household.

To be honest. I wouldn't trust China as far as I could throw them
I just care about the Uk and what we are sacrificing now.. I got back to Spain today only because I need to gather my personal stuff up to move back to the Uk. I understand how these forums work. I've been here long enough 
I don't think that Spain would be able to go back into the "lock down" that we had to endure for 9 weeks way back in March of 2020. Now that certainly would be "in humane" All those little children trapped in their apartments for 9 solid weeks. That was totally disgraceful but no one knew anything about the virus then.
The Uk now is in a far more severe lock down than Spain now and I do support it. I feel so sorry for Boris. He's been put in a position to try and sort out everything within a few months.I think that he's trying his best under these difficult circumstances.
I must say however. I was shocked when I arrived back in Spain today. Every thing was done to perfection in the Airport Hotel and also at Manchester Airport. It was like the Gestapo there. Ryanair was perfect, checking all your documents before your flight. Making sure that the aircraft was well placed out, then came the problem. Talk about social distancing? Left the aircraft and was then expected to be crowded on a bus to take us 100 yards to the terminal. I could have walked it quicker. Yes| I did refuse to get on that bus. I'd spent so much time, booking a covid test which was carried out at Manchester Airport within 72 hours. Having to go back to the test center before 7pm for my printed out result, then to complete the Spanish Health form on my phone to get my QP code. Spent over an hour in the Airport showing all my documents but yet they couldn't have given a "poo" trying to ram me on a bloody bus like sardines in a can. The mind boggles

England and the majority of Europe had a longer lockdown than Wuhan, but Unlike in China , there was no one to police it , so in effect , many people didn’t follow the rules and still don’t , so who’s to blame . the people who don’t obey the rules , or the government for not inflicting tighter security?To be honest. These vaccines are not like measles or small pox. One can still catch it, and still pass it onto others. I see fools on TV, oh..got it so now can run and hug people. Little on news about NO..still wear masks and distance. Yet media and gov gloss over that. Herd immunity is a dream when it is already mutating, people getting it after shots, no idea how long immunity lasts and all. Saw a guy had shot one and caught and died.
