Haven’t seen this for a little while. I’ll start: So, this morning I made a “Breakfast Club”. Grilled some bacon, poached two eggs, sliced both Swiss and Irish Cheddar ( hello Dino..), sliced small tomato, cut lettuce and finely diced quarter of onion. Toasted three slices Rye. Tossed lettuce with onion and dab of mayonnaise, put sandwich together— lettuce/onion, bacon, Swiss, egg, toast, lettuce/onion, cheddar, egg, tomatoes, top toast, cut, chow. It was great. Dinner will be lemon- dill-garlic salmon steak, Brussels sprouts and feta in puff pastry, green salad. Dessert will be a hot buttered brandy...

That sounds like “toad-in-the-hole”, but of course there are variations. In a movie Cher starred in, where she slaps the guy and says, “snap out of it”—I forgot the title—she’s in the kitchen frying bread in a skillet and presses the center in to drop and fry an egg— I believe she says “toad-in-the-hole”, but I have a British cookbook that makes it look like sausage, egg, and cheese is baked in a scone, called, “toad in the hole”, as well.

must be delicious Rohaan , I will try your cooking someday , looks like you have skills to cook delicious food
I didn't cook my own meal today ... I got half a roast chicken and chips (home made) from my local served with succulent cooking juices for 4€ (take away) ... Not worth turning my oven on or peeling my own potatoes for that price

The salmon was great. I was a little surprised at how bright red it was. Usually it is pink. I had dessert first, btw...
