singleguy292: Can you forgive your ex and continue the relationship from where you stop before.?
To forgive others is to release the burden from self but it doesn't necessarily mean that one has to return to a relationship that harms. I have forgiven my ex for my own inner peace but chose not to return to him however there are some people who can do that and sometimes the relationship is better than it ever was before. It's a choice only you can make for yourself.
forgiving has never been an issue. in most cases, an ex, has to stay that way for many reasons regardless.
a better question. do you ever try to make things right with people you might have slighted or maybe made them feel that way or worse?
no matter whether you forgive or not, how many exes have ever actually tried to make things right with out expecting something in return? I partially answer that. it seems very rare but there are a handful with sincerity. the rest are the reasons why many have to relieve themselves of the burdens.
that two-way street still has many avenues.
My appreciation to all that can continue. maybe things were meant to be that way and it took time and other avenues to bring things together more rightfully settled.

Another view is that there are people out there who just don’t care for apologies. (The person giving the apology is doing it to make him/herself feel better. It is about THEM, not so much the injured party...)

May be the other person didn't apologise ... may be they don't even know how what they did affected you ... Forgiving is not so much for the person being forgiven, although it could be, but for the person feeling the resentment or carrying a wound to be healed and free of attachment to "that story" ...

Love hearing from you, lovie. Across the mighty ocean’s tide and distance from a friend who could have come from millions of people, I am blessed to have that one in a million be you. (Oh my, am I buzzed...? )
People make mistakes and muck things up. Sometimes by accident, without thought. Sometimes with malice of forethought.
Letting them back in? Well that’s a can of worms that yields a kettle of fish. I’ve done it. But, I was younger then. Now? Not so much. We parted for a reason or 10,000 and perhaps we shouldn’t revisit that chapter.
