Blathin what a sad circumstance your country has in regard to the Bible nowadays. A marketing tool?
I know you are aware the Holy Bible also held the family records of births, deaths and marriages.

There are many texts that teach esoteric lessons.
A student would not disrespect the instructor by this complaint even if they failed the class or moved on
in their life lessons. Texts can simply be tools.
The subject of treachery has been taught for eons.

A good example why for many, the very word 'God' becomes a barrier to that which it is supposed to be guiding us towards.

What word in your opinion best guides you, to THAT.

Dogma in one word, blind faith in two.

stringman: Correct and sound doctrine is crucial to salvation and growth in spiritual maturity. It comes as no surprise that God warns us many times in Scripture to be aware of false teaching. Christians need to be able to recognize false teachers in order to know when they are being led down a path that God did not intend!

So, can I say that all prophets can be either real or false? Depending on the interpretation of prophecies spread by them? Because all prophets claim to have received the word from god, but no of those prophets can confirm that statement ( Because god appeared only to them "the prophets", without witnesses or public revelation of his existence.), any more than anyone previously demonstrated the four versions (all four of which I can interpret differently), but which one is the version distributed by god? And if someone points out that version to me, how do I know it was spread by the good or false prophet, since that is impossible ...dunno

Now let’s sort this a little—and I AM a believer. We must strive to be equitable—-There is truth in the essence of what Blathin commented. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard an “acceptable” ( non-cult..) , is even “mainstream church, adamantly claim to be the “Real McCoy” with a “now that you’ve tried the rest, come home to the best”. In fact, the MAJORITY of Christian churches push this envelope. So, yes, I believe it is important to embrace Faith, it’s very difficult to know just who IS right, when they ALL use this “sale” tactic. Whadda ya gonna do? Right...? Get it, folks? Read my profile...I do not embrace organized religion. I go to a mainstream church because they “build a better mousetrap”. Nothing like raw honesty, is there? Cut the crap.

PRECISELY. What I’m trying to get across. Look at LDS. No one witnessed the discovery of the “plates”. Yet look at the membership! It’s because they “build a better mousetrap”. (LDS has a remarkable inner-self-contained economy. Plenty for all, another job if you lose one, an endless storehouse of everything you need to live, etc...not MY thing, but it’s the exact reason why they flourish. And people have joined for these extracurricular as primary to the actual cause. Better mousetrap...professor
