bodleing2: Record low temperatures in the UK last week but exceptionally low humidity resulting in grass fires in some moorland areas..
Yeh I heard that on the news alright about fires (here in rural Scotland) and it is kinda counter-intuitive, til you think about it. But it was very dry though, I really noticed it. The snow seemed to be evaporating during the day with no water left behind and after the Irish climate I found that really really odd...confused laugh

I'm in Central Texas. You know, where the desert and cactus and tarantulas and rattlesnakes are and where we get 105° F temperatures in summer and average 50° F in winter. grin

Well, we are presently covered in ice with bitter cold winds. It's 18° F / -7.7° C, going down to 10° F / -12° C with more snow flurries a'coming mixed with icy sleet. Possibly measurable snow.

cold Now mind you, most Texans don't even own winter coats or snow boots. But I'm originally from the east coast, so I was out walking in the cold just a few hours ago because I love the wind! Kind of treacherous in some spots but for the most part, I was elated by the awesome howling wind and feeling so alive! joy

I wish you folks in Scotland could post some photos of your beautiful snow. snowglobe applause
