I had fried and breaded alligator fritters once at a New Orleans style restaurant in Denver, Colorado. It was like a tough chicken fried steak. I also had a black bear steak once. They say bear steaks are tough but the one I had was not because it was marinated in teriyaki sauce for 3 days in the refrigerator.

No never tried the rocky mountain oysters. I had the Maine black bear steak at a 4 star resort in NYS where I worked. I also had reindeer stew twice served with sliced mint leaves in Norway and tried a piece of emu meat which tasted and looked like beef steak at a food festival in Denver.------ This thread is Archived ------
