I could not do that. My neighbor though doesn’t care if it is his worst enemy he has dinners with as long as my neighbor is not alone. Maybe I did do that though while employed. Retired now.

I very much doubt that a Platonic relationship really exists... There is no relationship exists at least for nowdays , which could be that much divine... To maintain a TRUE Platonic relationship , both partners need to reach the highest level of emotional maturity , self control and connection to the sole , which is rarest rare thing to achieve for any normal human being , I personally think...
May be in some rare cases where the relationship is totally "One Sided" ... But an equally mutual Platonic relationship is almost impossible in reality...
So yaa.. If anybody claiming that they have a completely Platonic relationship , Then MOST PROBABLY they are FAKING it... That relationship is NOT PLATONIC at all...
And most important...Platonic relationship is all about LIKE.. HATE has no chance to poke it's nose in it !!!

Hate is too extreme of an emotion for me to identify with. I do dislike people sometimes and I when feel that I do everything in my power to stay away from the person. I could never pretend to a friendly relationship with someone I dislike. I can be reasonably amicable when I have to but never in my entire life has anyone been able to accuse me of being two-faced.
In today's world almost anything its fake!.
A platonic relationship by itself is fake!.
