Do You Have An Air Fryer? ( Archived) (17)

Mar 22, 2021 12:16 PM CST Do You Have An Air Fryer?
I have an air fryer made by Cosori and I love cooking with it. Cooking with the air fryer saves my oven from getting splatters from fatty food such as chicken wings, pork chops, bacon. You can cook almost anything in it. One day this week I will be using the air fryer to make a steak. I've read reviews from others who have purchased this air fryer and all were positive.

This is my kitchen gadget and yes it is the color that I have. It's not bright red, more of a cherry red.

My dad had one and my current roommate has one. I want one, but I need room for it. They are super handy to have, and they cook things pretty well

I use frozen fish and chips purchased from Aldi's, I prefer Vietnamese Basa fish (displayed in posted image) its a sought of catfish (farmed i think) however is Ok there other but for one two reasons I prefer the Basa. The Chips made in Australia (Tasmania i think) my answer if your happy to receive taste reply from me to.
Really good, the chips have little bit of oil already on them, so I don't need to add any fat or oil, no mess just as agent09 states taste bloody good

I am very happy to receive a friendly reply from you Rob. Tomorrow I'm making a pork roast in the air fryer. I won't need to add a spray of oil since it has it's own fat. I'll just season it with garlic powder and a seasoned salt that I use for everything called Herbamare.

I used to eat Chicken and cooked the Chicken in an Oven Bag, included Potatoe and peas / veg included spices & mixed-herbs then tied the end of the oven bag, but also pierced the top end of the bag with a fork in a couple places to let excessive pressure / steam out.
Gave a whole Chook and bags contents 35 minutes at 350 deg.
Half through i turned the bag over being mindful to keep pierced fork hole up so not to drain the chicken fat out. Does good job

Have you cooked a thick steak in the air fryer? I've heard that air fryer does an amazing job.

I buy rotisserie chickens all the time in the supermarket. Sometimes they are good sometimes not.
I think I'll inject a chicken with lemon juice, spice it up and hope that all the skin gets browned. Definitely have to spray with olive oil.

if you put your chicken in an oven bag it will still brown no worries, lots of fat in chickens so i don't think you need to spray oil on, because half way through you turn it over will brown in any event.

I'm on a diet as my digestive system stopped working after an operation then two week drip feed antibiotic. I've only got one tooth left so I've been purchasing scotch fillet which i can chew with my gums. Works out daily between $4.50 and $5 for the meat.
I cook steak every day + silver-beet for dinner, I cook the steak in the Air Fryer silver-beet in pressure cooker. Put the steak on the same tray i cooked the fish'n chips on, use frozen meat, I turn the steak after 11 minutes at 350 deg and usually give other side about seven minutes. Steak has fat in it, so no need to add anything, turn it over. Silver beet I cook in pressure for three minutes. Then when steak is cooked pour any fat in the tray onto silver beet.
