And what else are we going to do. Float around on a king-size mattress everywhere, changing the language the definition of healthy BMI until it just happens to be the one where your organs fail and you'd need a robot to get out of bed.
Fadedbluejeans: I heard that they may make a Hydrogen powered locomotive.
As the combustion engine era is slowly ending, more and more manufacturers are shifting to fully electric vehicles. The fundamental change has gained momentum in the last few years with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) emerging as the favorite emission-free alternative.
I am trying one in a few years when they have ironed out the wrinkles.

mikey4691: I haven't had a bike in years, but I remember the open road from my teen years... Good times...
I`ve recently started riding bikes ...I mean I had a small scooter like bike when I was a teenager ,but started driving cars as soon as I turned 18 ,always prefered manual shifter and a comfy drive ,not much in to speed and racing .Electric motors are not what I see as a permanent solution when it comes to vehicles
Fadedbluejeans: Hydrogen power will be for some of transportation for sure/ no pollution but for the rest of us we will go electric soon enough. But what happens to our vintage cars and motorcycles after. worthless piles of junk or Rebel Riders
So you feel good about your electric car? Your still going to have to drive by that power plant that burns oil, natural gas coal or is nuclear. Every time you plug in your keeping them in buissiness. Did you know it takes a lot more energy from that plant to build your electric car in the first place? But that’s OK. Your going to save the planet. Good luck.
No I won't be saving the planet. We will possibly destroy ourselves eventually (1000) years) will be bad. But we can at least prolong it but that will take a genuine effort with a plan which I believe is being looked at. First could be as simple as taking all the garbage in major cities and bring it to a high teck dump that has the ability to recycle in the most efficient and contained/filtered to produce power and filter effectively the toxins and produce products So I mean a Big facility High tech that could handle every major city in all of eastern USA. Maybe even dig up the dumps that is in all cities and send it there too. Just thinkin
that is a myth given by eco save the earth or global warming fools. the burning of anything on the planet produces a waste product. the is no such thing as a pollution free fuel source.

Everything made on this earth, is made from substances that were already on this earth. But with chemical processes we can make these substances more polluting. And a good wasteless kind of energy isn't build yet. Solarpanels might be the best, or maybe they can build a system where the tide of the ocean is producing the energy for a whole country. But all these inventions will be out of date sooner or later, and then we can't use them anymore. Maybe we should dump all our waste on the moon, but then again you need fuel for the rockets.
Of course we can take actions to produce less waste, like taking a bag to the shop in stead of asking for plastic bags, refusing fruits and vegetables that are wrapped in plastic, like cucumbers and paprika's. But the supermarkets should be the first ones to act. They say they can't sell a paprika that is having some weak spots. Well, maybe they can get out the seed and sell the seed to have people growing their own paprika's. (While writing this, I think I'm gonna try to grow my own paprika's. But maybe even they can use it as food for the livestock. Sell all the unsold food that's out of date to farms. Now a lot of farmers give sojaproducts to the animals. Soja that is been growing in places where the rainforrest used to be. By giving more space to the rainforrest and starting rebuilding it by planting trees again, in stead of cutting them down, we might slow down the global warming. But there is more we can do. Why not let people order what they want to eat the next week a week before. Than supermarkets can buy exactly the stuff that is ordered, and people will have an app on their cellphone and collect their stuff, but nothing more. Or they may buy only things that is still good after at least 3 months extra on what they ordered. Less waste, less need for agriculture, more space for nature.
There is a lot we can do to change it all, without causing big problems.
They say some electric cars will really go.. Imagine the electric cars we had as kids, when you floored the controller on them, they were up to full speed in a split second... Woo hoo, dangerous..

They got torque and they move. They are attractive to own when you think about low maintenance they require. No oil changes, forget about anti-freeze, no transmissions to worry about, brake linings last forever considering the electric motor(s) can decelerate you and no exhaust system to tie up with bailing wire

And, electric motors don't run out of air at high altitude... ... I remember when they thought under 10:00 minutes was impossible... but, that was when the top part was still dirt... ...

No more bailing wire?? I'm sold..
Very closely related to the Porsche Taycan, Audi’s most powerful version of it’s e-tron GT is also similarly quick. Using the same twin motor system and trick two-speed transmission, the RS can deploy an overboost 637bhp (power is normally 590bhp) to deliver a shatteringly fast 3.1 seconds 0-60mph time. That’s not quite as fast as the Porsche (it’s also limited to 155mph all out), but it’s enough for this restful and refined four-seater to dust most internal combustion-engined supercars. A feat that’s all the more incredible when you realise it weighs a hefty 2347kg.

Much the same was said of Henry Fords "whole earth car: he developed in the 1940s which had a plastic body made from common crops including soybeans, hemp and other raw materials. It was durable as there are photos of Ford hitting the body with a sledgehammer. The main question was, did it run on hemp, which he never really answered. He beat Cheech and Chong to a hempmobile though...If it did, what was the mileage measured in...miles or tokes per mile... Cars should be powered by huge wound up rubberbands or wound up little motors.
