On March 17 we go into the next stage of lockup where we are allowed to hug people, next thing I hear we are told to social distance, I can't do both, does anyone have the magic cypher key which decodes this??

Liquidated is the better term. We gotta make way for the Chinese draining the worlds resources even though in reality they'd be happy with a tyre on a rope. The corpse of a long dead culture reanimated to mimic the west. The reason why this century and perhaps all centuries to come will still feel American.

Johnson to allow hugging and indoor venues to reopen in England from 17 May

Friends and family will be able to hug and mix indoors from next week, while cinemas and museums can reopen, Boris Johnson is to confirm on Monday despite growing concerns over the spread of the India coronavirus variant.

Scientists warned this weekend that cases are doubling in some areas where the variant, B1.617.2, has been detected. More deprived areas and those with large ethnic minority communities where vaccination rates may be lower are most affected, they said.

But at a press conference today the prime minister will hail the Covid vaccine rollout, with more than two-thirds of UK adults having had a first dose and a third now fully vaccinated. Just two deaths within 28 days of a positive test were reported on Sunday.

Johnson will confirm that the next stage in the easing of Covid restrictions for England will go ahead from 17 May. Indoor drinks and meals will be allowed for groups of up to six or two households, while cinemas, galleries and the rest of the accommodation sector will reopen.

I think the UK are jumping the gun...Where I live we can go three months without a case..Next minute masks as well as other small restrictions are back in place..Don't think for one minute it's smooth sailing ahead because it definitely isn't.

So we all get vaccinated..Doesn't mean we win't catch the virus..Just means some will feel yuk like the flu and some will still struggle & die.

Hello Mercedes

To a degree I am in agreement with you. This has been circulating for 18 months and people are still catching it ,even with a vaccination. Some medical know -it -alls would have us believe that we will be Covid free in the UK by August, others that we will never be free. I'm all for caution or we will go into yet another lock down.

We are all susceptible to any air borne infection ,and as you say having been vaccinated does not give us immunity. We all still need to be aware .handshake

Covid might always be with us but being vaccinated puts you in the young man's game where covid is less than a bad flu. And as for young people we've not been this protected from airborne infection since the womb.

They'll be more damage done between the trenches and no man's land if we carry on with this foolish and disgusting battle against an enemy that isn't nearly the villain we say it is.
