I filled up on Monday when I heard over the weekend about the hack and it was $2.72 a gallon. When I was out today I saw it was$2.79. Tomorrow it might be $3.00 a gallon. Lines were long and signs all over "No Gas".
Reminds me what happened back in the 70's when there was a shortage of gas. I had to get in line at the gas station at 3 a.m. to be sure to find a spot in the line and then wait until 8 a.m. when the stationed opened.

That’s smart fueling now. I remeber those gas shortages. We’ve never seen auto Fuels beliw a dollar since then, might have cost .35 to .45 a gallon for fuel in Ohio and Michigan before then.
galrads: Well, if he can spend trillions of dollars to bail out cities that don’t need bailed, then social security system recipients don’t have to worry about it running out of money like reports have threatened it might.
Give him a chance. We can pull through this too.

galrads: Just curious. I paid $2.899 per gallon of diesel in the first week of May 2021.
At this minute, regular gas here in Coos Bay, is $3.35 (average) a U.S. gallon. This morning I saw the “ gas lines” across the country on TV news— I’m frugal with driving, but will completely fill up in the morning...just in case.
I never really pay that much attention to the price of gas ... I mean, when I need gas, I get it, regardless of price. Though last time I filled up, I did notice that I paid roughly $8.00 or so more than usual.
