TheDino: I'll be trying a few things this week, exhausted is how I feel when I wake this past week..
Its sometimes difficult for people to grasp this, but resting BEFORE you lie down to sleep is considered to be very therapeutic. It’s sort of getting your body ready for sleep, some light stretching helps. Tense bones and muscles take time to relax; you can help it through the process. I also believe routine is good. Whether to take a warm bath or shower before bed is still disputed— some doctors believe it arouses the body too much ( no..scold ) others believe it relaxes. I’ve had both results; depends on the circumstances. Ultimately, try not to have life’s problems at the front— falling off to sleep is near impossible with a troubled mind. teddybear

Majority of folks I know that complain about insomnia, get out of bed after 10am, and then have an afternoon nap.

I really, really believe the adage, “ Early to bed, and early to rise” is ever practical.

Something that works for me is a candle lighting in the room, I light a t-light candle and something about the light flickering in a dark room is very calming (obviously it’s in a holder so it’s safe) . I have tried loads of other things and this is one that works best for me teddybear

TheDino: It effects so many, do you resort to medication or exercise, maybe you count sheep. any remedies or potions appreciated..
I'm an exercise machine as you know..What I throw myself into tends to have my brain zipping & zapping for hours...If I go past my bedtime I'm lucky to receive four hours sleep..I have a habit of laying in bed thinking what I need to do the next day..It's like my brain is on auto pilot..I do find reading a book helps me to fall asleep..I do sleep well when sick.

That pain in your calf I would look into...You might have a blood clot so get to the doctor

Meditation.

I's a terrible insomniac since the age of 11. Sleep pills are poison, but it's the only solution the Western medicine could offer me.

I started practicing Qigong in the summer of 2018 and the first thing, that happened to me, was that my sleep improved quite dramatically. It happens, still, that I have difficulties with falling asleep for 1-2 times a month. It's nothing comparing to pre-Qigong's 2-3 times a week. Estimating conservatively, it's a quadruple improvement in my life quality.

If you want an excuse (sort this or that), there will always be one. If you want a go, here it is. The oldest woman in the video is 92. What's your excuse, again?
