May 26, 2021 9:15 PM CST Rant of the day!!!
I had an idea where we can give a rant of the day since nobody else with listen or care. This could be fun
laugh
So anyway today I go to a big mall and when I get in a security guard ask's "me where am I going" I said "what is open" She said just the bank and dollar store. I said the dollar store. Then she asked me if I travelled recently.
The conversation went on but I was allowed in The Huge mall in the end. Thank God it's a free country. laugh
Oh and I picked up some fake minnows that look great for fishing.very mad grin

I was in a grocery store ready to pay for my fruits. cheese and ice cream when some obviously suicidal older person decided she was not paying 3 jJesus dollars for a Cantelope and then procceded to complain about the beef prices and more but I tried to tune out. It was when she demanded to have her groceries packed and brought to her car is when things got interesting. When the cashier said we don't do that. The older person casually said" In the older days we were more disceet about wanting your money. She left with no groceries and I followed suit. We had a good conversation in the parking lot. She owned a store at one time. rant over.

I live in a suburban village.
(Literally a village)

It is no longer privately owned. A corporation owns it now and the staff has changed, and email notices have increased (to an annoying degree), and so have the rules.
I think it has been taken over by WuFlu Nazis, making ridiculous mandates, that are intrusive and MORE restricting than the state itself.

The so called "New Normal" is "New Ridiculous".

No smoking of any kind, anywhere, on the property; including your own apartment, balcony and patio.

Masks must be worn to go to your personal mailboxs, in your own building.

Residents must have a "Resident Photo ID" to use amenities, including all laundry rooms, gym, pool and picnic areas doh

What next!? Will kids need masks and photo ID, to go into the pool, or to the basketball court and playground areas too!?

No more "Guest Passes" for pool area or "Parking".

What!? They mean, no guests!?

I think they want to hermetically seal us in our own units.

Well if you make everybody live like a posh spaz this must surely put the poor on the same page as the rich. For free. We just care about pronouns now, pronouns and purchases that make us green-looking. A little emotional neglect goes a long way.

My rant of the day is double barrelled...

Firstly, shopping should be a calm enjoyable experience. It's very annoying when large families take all their annoying children and let them run around and yell at each other, while poking their filthy little fingers in everything. My own experience as a youngster would have been- behave yourself or you'll wait in the car. Nowadays, the parents don't give a shit about anyone else, and are too busy fiddling with their phones to care about their snot nosed brats.
Secondly, Shopping should not involve gagging from the stink of people who don't wash or wear deodorant. Really? is it that hard to put a clean shirt on and a quick squirt of Pommy shower? I'm not saying get dressed up in your sunday best, but a basic level of hygiene shows the person has some self respect. And manners towards others.

I prefer sitting in my car, air con set to ice cream making level, Swedish house mafia cranked to full on, with no smelly people inside, while all the bus people make sad puppy dog eyes as I drive off into the sunset.

Wow. I’m going to go out on a limb here, and possibly get some hate rhetoric. Many people who have children are not bothered by the antics, noise, etc...so they don’t see other adults who ARE, as being valid. A family member’s wedding was almost completely ruined by a woman attending with TWIN infants, both crying and screeching in tandem; in stereo. None of us could hear the lovely poetry, etc... the bride and groom were presenting one another. (we had a private dinner at my aunt’s, later). There is absolutely no reason for children of this age to be at a wedding. The likelihood of this kind of thing happening is extremely high, and the child(ren) gain nothing from the experience, as the attention span is so short, and not, of course, their fault. Likewise, I had a friend living in a shelter who, though skilled very well, couldn’t land a job. Why? Because with no child care, she had to pack the little boy into interviews, naturally causing the employer to have doubts about her work stability. Some things just won’t work. And, there are actually restaurants in the U.S. which, although alcohol isn’t served, have policies of “no children under 12”. Sounds like a legal matter, yes, but they don’t seem to get in trouble for it. Ever had your ear squalled in hi-fi, all of a sudden? Not groovy— and again, the parents don’t seem to think anyone should have a problem with it.

Hi Karl... I have married friends in Portland. One time, while staying the night, I heard a bit of a fight. Finally, I heard the wife loudly yell, “Would you STOP trying to make up? I’m not through being mad yet!”
