I found this clip of an "OPTICAL ILLUSION" in this video.. TIME LINE - 1 - 40 TO 2 - 02 ...
In the clip two pieces looked CLEARLY BIGGER/SMALLER than one another when changing places , but looked EXACTLY SAME when placed on top of one another...
And Am totally confused !!
Can anybody explaine how could this happen !!!
Waiting for all your explanations ... Thank you all !!

There are two arcs to each piece of train track: one side has a shorter arc which would make the inner side of a bend, the other outer side having a longer arc.
When you put them next to each other you are comparing the shorter, inner arc of one piece with the longer, outer arc of the other.
The illusion is exacerbated by one track having the 'link' piece attached. The brain tells you that piece is longer, but muddles up the extra length created by the 'link' with the extra length created by the outside arc.
If the piece without the 'link' had been put in front of the piece with a link instead of behind it, the illusion of one being longer than the other wouldn't be as stark.

Though I can't really say that it's all very clear to me now , yet , but , at least I have a trail to follow now !!
Thank you so much Jac !!!
This illusion was bugging me so much since I've seen it !!!
