I don’t drink alcohol at all...never was much of a drinker..
I see functioning alcoholics every day at work...I have watched a few die..from alcohol related problems or accidents..Some were very kindhearted people...
This may sound strange but I am not proud of 21 years of sobriety. It's something I had to do and have to continue. I only mention it to give others hope because if I can do it they can too.I don’t drink alcohol at all...never was much of a drinker..

I'm sorry you had to watch people you know die from alcoholism. It's so sad to experience people you know struggle so hard.

I also experienced it ... my husband was an alcoholic. Sadly he died from it 47 years ago. I know from experience. ( 18 years)
