Did He Do It...........is still the question (30)

Attorney F. Lee Bailey, one of the attorneys in the trial of the century, died a couple days ago. He was the mastermind of how the attorneys handled the defense of O.J. Simpson. Apparently he wrote a book named "The Truth About The O.J. Simpson Trial". I'm thinking about buying the book just to see if there is something the public never knew about the trial.

Do you think there will be a shock value secret revealed in the book?

"The Definitive Account of the O.J. Simpson Trial, by Legendary Defense Attorney F. Lee Bailey
It was called “The Trial of the Century.” Beloved football sensation, O.J. Simpson was famous for his prowess on the field, his good looks, and his charm. But all that changed the night his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman were brutally slaughtered in her front yard late at night on June 12, 1994. The media circus that consumed the news cycle for the next eighteen months would forever change the world's opinion of O.J. Simpson, despite the fact that the jury, after nearly a year of sequestration, came to their decision in just a few hours: Not Guilty.

Although at least a dozen books have been written about the O.J. Simpson trial, from every possible perspective from provocative to sensationalistic, The Truth About the O.J. Simpson Trial is the most revealing because the writer was the Architect of the Defense. Bailey, shows definitively why the jury was correct in finding that the timeline of the evening made Simpson’s presence at the murder scene impossible, which eclipses the question “Did he do it?” and establishes that he simply could not have done it. This book reveals shocking evidence of police corruption, mishandling of blood samples and other materials that formed the basis of the prosecution's case. Bailey includes convincing evidence that was not presented at the trial—including interviews, forensic results, and revelations about the case that have since come to light.

Scathing, controversial, and, yes, entertaining, The Truth About the O.J. Simpson Trial will be read and studied by anyone interested in defending the innocent, the history of law enforcement in America, students of the Law, and all those who are still obsessed with “The Trial of the Century.”

This book could be a good read. I was never convinced the juice was guilty. If one of my friends could take off other’s heads and so violently, I wouldn’t want to hang around them, not even for a short ride in a bronco. I don’t think he can be tried again. The present owner was on an episode of pawn stars but couldn’t sell Rick the bronco.

Motive + Opportunity + Method Used + Occam's Razor = Guilty - Careful race-based jury selection = refusal to convict, despite proof beyond reasonable doubt.

('If it don't fit, you must acquit' equals deceptive showmanship b/c wet leather shrinks.)

Hopefully Karma is a universal thing and not dependent upon American Criminal Justice.

Motive is important. Only oj had one on both their lives.
Maybe he hired a hitman.
This book is worthless in my opinion.

Don't waste your money buying the book . US has the most influential justice system in the free world , throw money around and its the verdict thats pays the most the jury delivers .
Patty Hearst was innocent to .

Merc.....the link is exactly what I posted so you don't have to click on it. As far as asking the judge when you're confused about something the jurors can ask for a trial script or a video of the trial before a question will go to the judge.

Gal......I agree, I wouldn't hang out with someone if I knew that person just killed someone. I think in this case that O.J. hired someone to do the killing. I worked for an attorney at the time and he thought that O.J's son killed the two people.

Boh......By the end of the trial, the jury composition broke down as nine black jurors, one hispanic and two white. There were 10 women and two men. Two of the jurors had college degrees, nine had graduated high school and one had no diploma. When the recording of Fhurman's racist conversation with someone was heard by the jurors that sealed the deal for a not guilty verdict. When I saw him trying on the gloves I knew it was a setup because he had rubber gloves on while he was putting leather gloves on.

Epi......He was found not guilty in the criminal trial but as you know he was found guilty on the civil trial and went to prison. Never do you hear what he is doing now that he is out of prison.

When you think about it ..... a sock on the floor that looked out of place, a cut on his hand when he left the area right away, a friend takes a suitcase out of his house and the suitcase disappears perhaps with bloody clothes and then he writes a book If I Did It. Whether he did it himself or he hired a hitman in my opinion he was behind the murder of his wife and her friend.

I still think I will buy the book mumbling

He did it himself that's why he was on the news being chased in his Bronco..Those gloves they found did fit OJ perfectly..Unfortunately not on the day in court..OJ stopped taking his arthritis medication which made both hands swell so when he tried to put those gloves on in court of course the gloves didn't fit...Blood in the Bronco & the list goes on of so much guilt

That's right Merc. Good lawyers vs a jury. This stuff is why we abandoned the jury system over here.
Last tried case was that of a corrupt police man who had helped a narco baron import 14tonns of hasjis over the course of a decade. He was first found guilty, then not guilty (by a jury) then found guilty again and sent away for 21years.

The timeline proves Simpson could not have personally committed the murders. Did he hire a hitman? Possibly, but that is only an assumption as no evidence was introduced to confirm or deny this possibility. Given these facts the jury came up with the only possible verdict... Not guilty. As I see it, the whole trial was based on the assumption that Simpson wanted his wife dead. Was there not a possibility that the real target was the other victim and Simpson's wife was just collateral damage? The real truth may never be known.professor

I guess I am in the minority because I think OJ got away with murder. At the start of the trial, I thought he was being framed and that he could never butcher his children’s mother. I thought he was a good guy, you know the Hertz Man and a decent sports commentator.

No way, did the detectives plant evidence. If anything, they looked the other way while he regularly beat his wife. Star struck by his celebrity status and his charming personality that he showed to the world. Behind, that charm lies a manipulative narcissistic man...a psychopath..with no conscience or guilt of what he does.

His defense planted the seed of racism..and, Chris Darden’s foolish glove incident..gave the jury a reason to find him not guilty. The glove had shrank from being covered in blood, and a great acting job by OJ played a pivotal point in the trial. (Have you ever tried to put shoes on a toddler who don’t want to wear them?)

As far as I know, Bailey was the only attorney who represented him who believed he was not guilty..

The thing that always stuck in my mind is thank God, Nicole and Ron’s bodies were not seen by Nicole’s children. He almost decapitated her in his rage...
