Jaavisst: I only check profiles not logged in. I don't want to alert scammers of my person and I feel that it's rude to visit someones profile logged in and not leave a message. To me when people visit my profile and don't leave a message it feels like a rejection.
If I find someone interesting I rarely send a message my self first anyway. I know women expect the man to pursue her but I prefer women to make first contact.
Sometimes I forget if I am logged in or not though, so don't be offended if I didn't message you.

If you continue to stay in the forums and/or blogs, expect YOUR profile to be checked at times with out any messages. Some times any messaging that takes place with any one before hand, is right here in the forums and/or blogs as a starting point for the "public" to see.
after all, isn't part of a dating site about browsing and reading profiles looking for a person that might be of interest?
scammers are generally pretty easy to spot and block if you choose. Good luck to ALL on the site, towards finding what you want.
