Condor009: The origin of the quote is from Marcel Proust in 1918: "Our social personality is a creation of the minds of others..." And it's true.
Every time I see such "deep stuff", I have to dissect it try figure out what this really is supposed to mean. Only after that can I give an opinion. I don't catch this one automatically.
"Our social personality" is that the same as "my social personality" and if so is it controlled by me then? I personally think this fitted better in 1918 than today. It depends on how much you (don't) mind to stand out from the crowd.
