blathin: Yeh isn't that the truth Tulefell, you can't beat the sea (or in my case the ocean) and the way being in it makes you feel.... I miss having the Atlantic on my doorstep and the feel of that first rush of cold water down the back of my westsuit ....nothing like it... I don't miss having the skin sandblasted off me by a howling onshore in january though. Then again, being in those powerful waves made it all worth while..
Totally!
And you sound like an "endorphin junkie". I am one myself
There are two types of hot atmosphere occur mostly ...
One is where it's too hot and too humid ... In this case , you will sweat a lot ... So your body can get dehydrated quickly ... So you need a lot of liquid intake to makeup the loss.. As per your personal health condition , it could be better to take some saline types solutions (prepared with balanced ingredients) ...
Another one is dry heat... In this case , you need to keep your body hydrated as well.. And try to protect your body from direct exposure of sun rays in day time as much possible... Use umbrella , cover your face (mostly nostrils) with wet cloths if possible... Avoid direct sun rays upon your body , specially your head... Because there will be a risk of getting heat stroke ...
And for both scenario , remember one thing carefully , don't drink too cold liquids when your body is right under too hot atmosphere... It may lead to catching serious cold as a shock...
Something from personal experiences to dealing with extreme hot atmospheres (like 40"c with 70 percent humidity) ...

Thanks for that Tanz, I think we're over it for this year here in the old country.. Weather has changed..
