The Color for Boys & Girls (17)

Jul 30, 2021 4:49 AM CST The Color for Boys & Girls
Hi to all !! wave

I have noticed for a long time that , here on CS , Boy's names used to be highlighted by BLUE color whereas Girl's names used to be highlighted by PINK color !! hmmm
Also as far as I've noticed , not only here but in many other places many times , when they need a Color to indicate specific gender as Boys or Girls , generally BLUE used to indicate a Boy and PINK used to indicate a GIRL !! conversing

Now my question is , WHY SO !!! dunno

Why not otherwise !
Like PINK for Boys and BLUE for Girls !!

We Girls like Blue color very much too and I don't think that Boys hate PINK color either !!!

Or Why Not any Other Color !!??

Like White for Boys and Black for Girls !!
Or Green for Boys and Red for Girls !!
Or Orange for Boys and Purple for Girls etc. !!!! confused

Please share all your views here about this matter ...
Have fun !! wave

Not only colors, many things are divided according to gender.
as like hairstyle,
look at those profiles which has no profile pictures.
it's our mindset since childhood.
it doesn't matter what is divided for which gender.

name also devided according to gender.
suppose: my name become "Kamla Devi" and
your name become "Rahul Khanna"
then there will be problem in India to identify the gender by name. because of our mindset

Pink used to be manlier than blue and I think it's because they couldn't make red back then. And even then it was never like now where the fashion comes to us at an earlier age. Dressed like little adults but wet the bed as a boy every night. Society has the image of an adult, the substance of a child. A mature look and sound with a lot more wetting the bed. To wet the bed in suits is my take on the modern world of the greying baby.

I don't know the answers to your thought provoking thread but I think it might have something to do with a ladies virgina being pink and a mans penise with a blue vein pumping blood.

For the last time......NO, I'm not HEX

I'm not Dears, Epirb, Butch, Serene or whatever.

You may find this hard to believe but there's actually a few Kiwis and unless I'm mistaken, I think you and your cohorts are either 'racially profiling' or just sucking on the tender blue sav.

I'm not HEX FFS.

Bnaughty was correct when he asked if I was 'yeah/nah', he was right but FFS, I'm not HEX

professor

Think what you want, I couldn't care less but don't assume

Well...I was always under the impression that "red/pink" is a girly colour, and as such, it perfectly goes to describe anything that is girly/feminine
dunno
