Never heard of a rod man? A welder is a welder, unless the certification's are different. I am a welding inspector by trade.

I think that a "rod-man" is a steel worker that installs reinforcing bars (or rebar).

Hi Kelly,

Just curious - for what reason do you need a cinderella carriage built? Lorraine.

Coming from a long line of welders.
perhaps it is a very old term not used anymore.
I asked my dad and he said he has only heard of welders refered to as welders.

He thought that a rod man may be the person that lays rebar before the concreat is poored.

I said that I was thinking that a rod man may be the person that bends metal (a pipe bender) and he agreed that for your project that is probly what u will need.

so I direct you to your yellow pages

look up metel shop and explain to them what u want.
