After having 2 weeks off on holidays uve spent some of it touring around Ireland..and what a beautiful country we have.

Most impressive was Cong in County Mayo and Roundstone in Galway.

So much so I'm going to make it a regular thing to see more of this country.
Easy as it is to enjoy it in the weather we are having of late, its as important to enjoy it all in all kinds of weather as there is plenty to do and see.

Have you any favourites that you would like to share.?

If I get my laptop going I will post some picture that I took of the place I went this last few days.

I did the wild atlantic way end july, loved it! Did the clare/galway side but will leave mayo for another time. Spanish point was beautiful, preferred it to lahinch, will definitely go back. Went onto Skellig Michael in kerry after that, breathtaking scenery.

Must take note of visiting those you mention.

Another nice spot is Glen of aherlow in tipp.

Thanks very much for taking time to answer.
I appreciate it.
I would definitely recommend Dogs Bay in Roundstone ...what a beach....its shaped like a horseshoe and back to back with another bay called Gurteen....I only went to dogs bay and the water was so clear and the sand almost white, was like being abroad...I'll do my best to post what I can took videos of it too.
Cong is a lovely little village...dotted with little cottages...and was where The Quiet Man was taped...starring John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara....love that film so always wanted to go..there's a statue there of them

I was hoping to try sunny South East next and take in Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow.
I know of Ardmore and Tramore in Waterford so I'll bypass them as I've been there but is there anyother nice places in Waterford ( I know there are) but just not familiar with the county.

You can't beat the Atlantic way alright its beautiful, everywhere is when the sun shines.

wave

I'd recommend Kenmare and Killarney when your next in Kerry and Adare is nice in Limerick.

Not at all, I love hearing about new places to visit too.

Cong sounds like doolin where we stopped, will put it on my to do list.

There's a fantastic restaurant in caherciveen called Q&Cs, they do the best steak, if you're ever passing through.

Mahon falls and the copper Coast are worth a visit in County waterford, big selection of beaches too, oh and the magic Road, your car travels backwards uphill at speed (with the engine off uh oh) I'm feeling like I should be working for the Irish tourist board laugh
