On one side, I’m looking toward it. I’ve been working from home since the end of March 2020. It felt convenient at first: you could get up at 7:55 and be at your desk at 8:00 while still in pajamas. A lot of time and money saved on traveling to and fro. Making yourself presentable became a remnant of a distant past surprisingly fast, as no one sees on Zoom whether you wear make-up, jewelry or – oh please! – perfume. Or ever pants. As long as you keep a serious mien.
On the other side, the novelty of working from home wore out rather quickly and turned into feeling of living at work and eventually being imprisoned and chained to your desk. Hence, I do look forward returning my physical self to the work place.
On the third hand, the pandemic isn’t over. While ca 70 % of Swedish residents, born in the North, is vaccinated, only 44 % of Swedish residents, born outside the North, bothered so far to. Meaning: it is still here. And while the data shows that the vaccine is a good protection against sever consequences or Covid, it doesn’t make you immune from getting it.
Nonetheless, in a week I’m on.
How are things in your place?
